I have bought an iPad while in the US and I see I can save some money if I also get the AppleCare. My question is would AppleCare bought in the US be valid in Europe if i have a problem ?

I should thank Steve Jobs for a Keynote that saved me money and didn't have me lusting after something. Amount to be spent as a result of this keynote - 0
AppleTV - pointless.
iPhone - beautiful. I'm NEVER spending that much on a phone. EVER.
New Airport Extreme - cost twice what it should.

I would call him a lier for it but without proof it not my style.

.Mac is a load of old BALLS!!! It's absolutely ridiculously. We're paying 99 in Europe really for Mail, iWeb was only added recently, but you have to buy iLife '06 to use it. iChat is free? No it's not! Guess what? You have to pay 99, cause you need .Mac to use iChat. The whole thing is a joke! Way to respect your loyal fans Apple.
/joke..
u don't need .Mac to use iChat. you can use iChat with AIM account. and I keep hearing this rumor that MSN and Yahoo account might be added.

Yeah, I dont have component or an HD TV at the moment, I have a better box for wireless than any airportex, and I'd rather have a cheap phone that wont be janked than such a flash phone with only 8gb ipod ability.
I want my widescreen 80gb iPod please.

There's a remarkable amount of shortsightedness in this thread. But that's typical of the entire generic Wintel/PC world. No imagination. No ability to see possibilities as development of Post-PC era hardware continues. Or rather, iPad development.

it crashes regularly, even on macrumors or on the apple site!
just make it work!
No it doesn't. Seriously, I've visited this site zillions of times and Safari has never crashed on it.
As for resizable text areas, it's a good idea in theory. Too many "web designers" think they are designing for print...the user is supposed to have control over how things look. That's one of the whole points of the web; everything should be as relative as possible.

I'm about to replace the hard drive in a 17" iMac G4 800. When I take the old one out (80 GB Ultra ATA 100), will it be able to work in a Power Mac G4 "Sawtooth" (AGP)?
Just not sure about the technicalities of HD backward compatibility. I think the drive in the first drive bay is an ATA/66.

My mac is 31 months old and I just brought a external harddrive to back it up among other things. The harddrive needs to be reformitted (its a WD Elements 1.5 TB) and I can not find my disk utility anywhere. I went to applications -utilities and I can not find it. Where can I find my disk utility? How can I recover it? Thanks in advanced.

Taken from my trip to the Dallas Auto show last weekend; Nissan GTR aka Nissan Skyline. I've dreamed of having this car stateside for most of my youth. Now that it's finally here, Nissan guaranteed I will NEVER own one with the $80k price tag. :(

Does "I have no desire for a smartphone" go under "already have other phone" or under "undecided/other"?

You went back to school and you didn't learn how to bill or control a client? Your very first mistake was booking a $75 job with a 3 hour time limit. If that is all someone can afford, then don't work for them. In my experience, the cheaper they are, the more demanding they usually are. Your second mistake was giving the power to your client and not billing him for phone time. You didn't manage the job and you paid the price. I bet you didn't even have a signed contract.
Hi. You're right about my lack of pricing knowledge. I remember when I was in school I would often ask instructors about pricing and they would kind of cryptically shy away from it. It would be good if they added a class about pricing and ethics to the curriculum, or at least provided students with a packet containing basic pricing guidelines.

I just tried Jailbreaking my Ipod 4th Gen, 4.1.2 with PwnageTool. Everything is fine until I have to restore it, I have gotten three different errors so far, one was 8, the other was 1604 and I forget the third.
I can successfully enter DFU mode and choose which firmware I need to restore with, it's just unsuccessful when I try restoring it, theres either an error, or Cydia doesn't appear and it says "Restore Complete"

Virus protection? Useful perhaps, what with all the viruses on Macs now-a-days.
I'm sure a lot (if not most) users of the .mac webmail interface are accessing it from a Windows PC. So yes, virus protection makes a lot of sense here.

I wonder how many of these posts are trolls? I haven't had any issues whatsoever with 4.3.1. I also didn't have any problems with 4.3; battery life has been absolutely stellar and call performance actually improved in 4.3.1.
Battery life was atrocious for me on 4.3, but 4.3.1 completely fixed it. I get the "Call Failed" message sometimes too, but only about 5% of the time.
