    A piece of black velvet or similar material would fix that, and isn't too expensive if you stick to one or two.I picked up small pieces of black and white non-reflective velvet that do a nice job. Any local fabric shop should carry it. Not cheap, but it won't break the bank. They might have remnants that would be large enough.

    I received RFEs from my attorney and mine is on BC and my wife's is on Marriage Certificate + marriage photo and USCIS requested me to submit non avialability ceritifcate. I do have a BC with all the details but registered date is oct,2007 (That's when i applied for BC) instead of old date.

    Is it a problem ? Do i have to submit anything more

    Please advise

    I received below email from NPR's Jennifer Ludden who had covered July 2nd issue for us. She wants to talk to somebody who was affected and she is aware that the issue is now resolved. I was not affected since my PD became current in june and my application was reached CIS in june itself. Anybody willing to talk to her, please call her.

    I don't think it happens automatically. You will need to ask to be accorded the earlier priority date or if interfiling you will also initiate the process by asking that USCIS substitutes the previously submitted I-140 with a new approved one. The time to do that is when the PD on the newly approved 140 becomes current.

    From your explanation, now that your old PD is current and the 140 for that is approved, you will have to ask that interfiling occur by sending a letter to USCIS with a copy of the new 140.

    If you have done this, then the message you got could be that USCIS is ready to review your file by October. A congratulation may be in order here because I believe you will soon get your GC.

    If the premium processing unit sent an e-mail that the petition was approved it does indeed mean it was approved.

    Ignore the online status and expect the approval notice in the mail. No need need to panic.

    This is from my own experience.


    My attorney received an email notice of I-140 approval (PP) on Mon, June 25. But the online case status showed the application as pending. Finally,today my attorney called and was told that due to "system glitch ", approval notices were sent out in error!! It seems this has done to others too!!
    Did anyone else encounter this?

    I wouldn't know for sure, as I've never messed with bracketing automatically on my D1, but it seems that you could put the camera in aperture priority, set it for +/- 1 bracketing, and it should automatically take a series of exposures by varying the shutter speed and leaving the aperture constant.

    You will see two options
    1)Pay a company
    2) Pay an Individual

    Click the GO button next to Pay an Individual (without entering any information)

    In the next page

    You will see a small form
    Payee- is the name- in whose favor the check will be made
    Nickname is for your reference
    In Identifying information- you can put your handle
    Rest is obvious

    Payee creation is one time setup

    Once you have created a payee
    Go to Bill Pay>>Overview
    and here you will see an option to make a payment

    I have been filling up I-485 all day . Online forms sent from attorney but no help with topics. I am confused by these

    Visa Number - is this a number that is stamped on your passport when u entered US? My visa in passport expired long time back. I have my WAC number- is that what is required to enter?

    Alien Number - is this the I-94 number?

    anywhere i can find a sample I-485 filled in ?

    Appreciate any help

    I'm confused with these too. I asked my lawyer and he told me not to worry about it right now. Just fill the other details.

    Depends on what you are looking for and what your priorities are:

    1) Ask what work you will get? Ask to speak with the team members of the team you will work with and get your role clarified.

    2) compensation. How much $$$$ they are paying more wrt current position or wrt other offers you may have in recent future.

    3) As someone said correctly, get to know the work culture and the team make sure you don't end up being chained to work.

    The advantage is that you can rise quickly (not much competition) & stable job.

    So see whats important for you.
    Guys, this forum is not the place to discuss about individual companies. If you have any questions related to immigration to US, you can start a thread for it.

    You need to bump this thread zillion times, before you get like 100 contributions. People are busy filing for 485 now and later on busy waiting for ead's and later on busy getting their infopass appointments and the list goes on... forever.

    go to uscis.gov and sign up for e-filing. fill in the I-131 form for urself and wife et al. u will seriously save a ton of money that can be done in 15 minutes and follow uscis instructions only.

    did that 3 months ago. got an RFE about photographs not being compliant with us passport requirements. sending response as I type.
