I have no knowledge of Nikon's lenses.
But really no-one but you can tell what lens you may need. It depends completely on what your photography style, subjects and conditions are. Same as if I asked you what car I should buy: If I like to drive fast on mountain roads, a sporty model would be great. If I have five kids that need taking to school every day, I need a minivan. If I work as a builder and need to transport material, a proper van or truck is what I need, etc, etc.
If you do a lot of indoors photos with poor lighting, a big aperture lens is what you need.
If you do a lot of outdoors wildlife shots, you need a long telephoto lens of some sort (300mm or more), preferrably with a big aperture so that you can get some decent shutter times in morning and evening light conditions as well...
If you do architecture and need wide-angles, something like the Sigma 12-24mm superwide zoom could come in handy (I'm sure Nikon does something similar, but I just don't know the Nikon lenses well enough to tell you what it is).
A 100mm (or thereabouts) macro lens is always a good thing, as it allows you to take close-ups, and can double as a portrait lens and any other duty where a 100mm lens is appropriate.
Think about the situations where your photography has been limited because the lens wasn't doing what you needed it to do, and figure out what lens would do the job for you. Then figure out how to afford it. ;-)

I have 2 Approved I140's.
EB3-I PD oct 10, 2003 - Approved - TSC
EB2-I PD July 6th 2006 - Approved - NSC
I filed my 485 on july 2nd 2007 - TSC
RD July 2 2007
ND Aug 16th 2007.
My 485 is based on the EB3 I140, My lawyer sent a Letter to TSC on June 19 2008 request to interfile/PD recapture, I saw soft LUD on my 485/140/131/765 on june 23 2008 since then we have not recievd any +ve information about it. Now with the release of Sep 08 bulletin, My EB2 date is current by itself without without any interfiling/PD porting.
I have called USCIS couple of times and every time i got the same old reply from them, "The IO will pick up the most favourable PD for your case." The sad thing is that the IO's are not touching the case. What are the options i have, Do you think they will pick up my 485 based on the Eb2 - 140 automatically since it has become current, Or it will still have to go thru the interfiling/PD Porting/PD recapture/140 amendment..../WHATEVER.

I am myself also planning to use my AP for re-entry later this year, but have the H1-B approval valid till 2011, so was a little confused as to if I would be needed to renew my new I-94 if it is issued for 1 year based on AP..
Your H-1B stays valid for as long as it is approved, even if you enter using AP.

go to uscis.gov and sign up for e-filing. fill in the I-131 form for urself and wife et al. u will seriously save a ton of money that can be done in 15 minutes and follow uscis instructions only.
did that 3 months ago. got an RFE about photographs not being compliant with us passport requirements. sending response as I type.

I thought the "Freedom of Information Act" requires the federal goverment to disclose all data and procedure unless it is exempt by some other laws (list of super spies, for instance). Wouldn't it be possible to using this law to force them to disclose their numbers?
Is there any month by month ombudsman report? I was just thinking It doesn't have too much of use if they report AFTER the number is wasted....
I am not an expert in law but we cannot "Force" the deparment of state to release numbers. However some numbers are already available for 2005 in usage stats.
If they waste numbers in 2006, then they may be recaptured and used in 2007 - ONLY IF - the comprehensive bill or the PACE act passes as both have recapture provision.
Doesnt the ombudsman report show all numbers even today? I thought they did.

I have little different problem here, I got my approval in 7 cal days so which is good and now I have start working with new employer so all good..
Now new employer wants me travel to Europe for some official work for 1 week and since my passport stamp is on my old employer and approval notice is new employer so do you guys think it would be an issue?
please let me know what all document etc I should carry during re entry?

In that case, your divorce should not affect your I-485. You only need to make sure that you (or your lawyer) withdraw the I-485/EAD/AP for your wife.
