If the attorney submitted G-28 for that particular petition (which got the RFE), then only the attorney gets the RFE. But I believe any one can respond to the RFE (yourself or another attorney) along with a new G-28 to change the representation.

I doubt we can threaten to get sanctions passed on Exceed .. i dont think we have the political clout for that. All we can do for now is plead, reason and educate senators of the unfair treatment we get from the broken immigration system. If our membership keeps growing to a point where we represent most of the affected legal immigrants at the mercy of USCIS (close to half a million), then its a different story, not to mention if we had the numbers and political clout of the illegals. Just my opinion.
You see to carry out negative publicity of Exceed corporation we donot need to represent the whole immigrant group...We are publicizing well known facts and create headache for Exceed...so that they speed the work up...The only incentive they can have at this point is possibility of more work...And that is where our points would really get across..We donot even have to go talk to any senators...The implicit danger of negative publicity for Exceed is our weapon..!!!!

The best thing for them to do or what they should have done is after 140 approval, they should accept 485 and process and keep it ready for date to become current. When current , they should mail the GC that month.
I dont understand the reason of why they want to accept when current only ?
If they do not accept 485, we do H1 renewal, if they do accept 485, we do EAD renewal. But EAD renewal is easier and involves only employee and gives enough freedom. H1 does not.
So All H1 holders till July 2007 , will no longer renew H1's ?

I just noticed in I-765 that if you are applying for EAD renewal then they need you to send your current Employment authorization document! Did anyone that applied for EAD renewal send their EAD card with their application. I'm concerned because if one is working on EAD and needs to send this document 120 days prior for the renewal process and does not get the new EAD for couple months, what proof does one have on work authorization?
I dont want to apply online as I dont want to go for biometrics (FP) again for EAD!

I guess you need to do some serious reading about the entire process and especially your scenario. Just google, you'll be inundated with ocean of information. guys, I appreciate the Mr Zoe's gesture , but I dont really think fees is a big issue here. If a company pays, its not an applicants problem. If the applicant pays, few thousand dollars extra will make us any poorer..

I don't think the main goal of Ms Lofgren is to lower the fees. She tries to find out what USCIS is going to do with the extra money, something they haven't been clear about. If it was about the fees, she could have proposed this bill weeks ago. The timing (at the last day the old fees were valid) is intended to put more pressure on the USCIS, because they will have to start refunding applicants if the bill is approved and they don't provide the information asked for.

I was thinking more along the lines of transfering from US Public education school system to either ICSE, CBSE or Maharashtra Sate Board.
Upto what standard would it be relatively eay for a child to adapt and integrate into the Indian system ?

honestly i dont know. when I changed schools and in the process boards, the most difficult transition for me was from the UK board to the ICSE system. but this was almost 18 years back (man..cant believe it) ...the indian system was still learning by rote...heavily focused on tests and exams. from what i have heard recently there have been major changes specially at the elementary school level. there is less emphasis on homework and tests and more of a focus on projects and learning by doing.
As a parent of a 13 month old, if I ever decide to go back, I would probably go back before my kid is in the 4th grade. This would be because they really start establishing their identities by the time they are 8-9 years old. They can still adapt fast enough but the major focus has to be on us as parents to smooth out the transition and give them the support system they need.
If you want a seamless transition, I would agree that 1st grade is probably the best bet. By that time their accents and all can easily be adapted, without a major crisis.

I dont think you can extend ur H1b once it has expired.
So just stay on your EAD.

All that matters for the french is your stamping, if your passport stamping is valid(even if you are not on that visa anymore), you dont need. If your stamping expired, you need a transit visa, and you need to go in person for the french transit visa, which is not needed for german and british transit visa.
Recently my parents went back to India via Fankfurt in Lufthansa.
There they asked is your visa expired if so you should have transit visa.
Since my parents had valid visa it was ok.

If USCIS would have been working in proper order, I should have got approval long ago as my PD had been current for more than a year. Anyway this is over can't complain. Good luck for all those waiting.

My check was cashed on 08/31. Based on the receipt numbers on the back of the check, online status shows that receipts were mailed on 08/31, but I haven't received till date. On 10/01, I called customer service and made them create service request. No progress so far. I am planning to call sometime next week and find the status of the service request.
Is anyone in the similar situation of not receiving the receipts even after check has cashed way back.
