I went to a Red Cross blood donation event that we had in my last workplace, but after they asked all of my medical history they weren't sure if it would be a good idea to take my blood. They took my contact information and said they would contact me later if I'm eligible for donating, but I never head from them since. Guess I'm no good.

Yea the last one was ridiculous, and crazy overpriced for what it was -the 4cyl was quoted around $30,000 and didn't have automatic *anything*, the seats felt like park benches, and it didn't have any of the nice interior features the 6cyl that cost 35+ did.
It had cool trunk hinges and tail lights, though. And that 2.0T is a neat engine (I'm sad they are launching the 2011 with a 2.5.. wtf?!)
When you talk about the "4cyl" are you referring to the turbo? Because I think the 1.8/2.0 turbo is a good motor, not necessarily out of place on a $30k car.
I'd have to go back and look at the article again, but I'm sure the turbo will be available on the Passat, but the 2.5 will be the base engine. I think it's a good engine, if not great. It competes well enough with the base 4 cylinders in thr Japanese competition. Myself, if I were going for a Passat I'd opt for the diesel. What is a very good iphone 4 IM client (and why do you think its good) that would keep me logged into AIM, Yahoo, Facebook, Google and myspace all the time and in one app. i am using IM+ but it keeps kicking me out everyonce in a while and to get it back up i have to unenstall it and reinstall it to get it to work.

Don't you guys realize that the reason all these half credible sources are saying all this wishy washy stuff is because Apple is keeping this launch under tighter wraps than any other after what happened with the iPhone 4. Regardless of what they do, we all know it will be phenomenal and ground breaking, but I seriously doubt anyone will get a sneak peak any time soon.

I see TJ Maxx's acquisition of some iPads as a marketing scheme. If a few select stores have at least 5 to offer at a discounted price, imagine what kind of results they would get if they offered them as a Black Friday Doorbuster Special. They would probably get hundreds lined up at the door like Best Buy does for a deeply discounted HDTV or laptop. As for a warranty, I don't think they offer warranties on any of their products because they are a clearing house.
I think many people are missing the boat on Steve Jobs alleged statement. Saying TJ Maxx is "not an authorized reseller" is just stating a fact. It's not as if Apple even cares that TJ Maxx is doing this. In fact Jobs is probably happy at the fact that the iPad is getting yet more publicity at his competitors expense and spending $0 while doing so.

Sure, there are many locked into contracts, but where are all the NEW customers that were ranting that they were waiting for a VERIZON iPhone and kept slamming ATT?
Is this due to "antennagate?" I seriously doubt that.

Either that or Apple & ATT's marketing campaign that pitted the advantages of GSM over CDMA actually worked. Hmm.
That and I honestly haven't seen nearly as many ads from VERIZON over the iPhone than when ATT had it exclusively & originally. I think VERIZON was busy counting the eggs before they hatched.

As a publicity stunt, it is working. Let's say they bought them in bulk from Best Buy or Wal-Mart. They have a couple dozen locations each at 300 units per store all discounted $100. That's a $720,000 total marketing expense for all the publicity you can mooch off Apple. On black friday.

Haven't listened to them for quite some and accidentally stumbled upon their new LP "There Is No Enemy". Damn did I miss these guys. I loaded the new album on my iPod for a quick listen for my 5min hike to the store. Well I ended up walking around for like 45mins totally spaced and only came to when the cd ended. All in all, good walk - great cd.;)
