I've been happily using my old iPhone 3G until a few weeks ago when my partner got herself an iPhone 4. I can't get over how fast it compared to my old chugger! So have had a bout of upgrade-itis since then. The white 4 looks amazing, just hope it gets released in the UK soon.

there are always some really nice photos in this thread. I am following for a long time but posting, well I always postpone it.
here is a b/w series from an abandoned shipyard/harbour before it underwent some reconstruction, I will try to post others in the next couple of days.

It's only BS to you, I don't obsess over appearances, I buy functionality. My self image is not tied to a phone.
Yet it's Apples brilliance, that realizes the average persons low self esteem and need to be seen with cool toys.
They know that great styling causes the consumer to ignore many faults or shortcomings in the product.
That said I'm noticing an interesting trend, it's the feminization of the iPhone.
With its diminutive size and proliferation of jeweled cases, I see more women with iPhones.
Next, with Verizons excellent Droid campaign, its become the mans phone of choice.
Larger, masculine, great new apps for men, not fart apps for juveniles, the rise in Droid X phones is remarkable and highly visible here in Los Angeles and Orange County.
I know at 6'2" the larger phone is far more comfortable to hold, especially for longer calls and such.
I'm enjoying my Android phones immensely.
My Antennagate 4, not so much.
So Apple ties it's image to low self-esteem women, while Android does the same for low self-esteem men? Thats how I interpreted this argument, though, I might have completely missed the point. I don't really think the kid is rolling with a credit card of his own at 11 years of age. So maybe the mother should think about setting up a iTunes account for her son with a apple gift card or pre-pay visa. That way he can't run wild like Hulkamania with her credit card.... I wish my parents would of let me have free access to there visa as a kid :rolleyes:

Since it's bluetooth and Apple says it works within 30 ft.What happens if you're in a starbucks and other people have bluetooth turned on ?
Will they be able to "hack" your Mighty Mouse?
You need to read up on how Bluetooth pairing works. The short answer is this doesn't happen. It'd be a slightly pointless protocol if the above could happen.

This patent clearly reminds me the one-time very popular misic instrument - TermenVox. The same method of operation. BTW - it's almost 100 years old. :-)

Whats happening with iChat, are they getting it to work with MSN Messenger networks like with AOL?
I have just switched to Mac, and it's annoying I cant Video Conference with any MSN Messenger users (MSN Messenger on Mac doesnt support it). iChat is awesome but I have no contacts, lol. Anyone know of any other way, I have tried AdiumX and looked into Jabber.

Yeah, I would estimate my dropped call rate is around 20-30% (Northern Virginia) sometimes higher depending on the day. They said they built a new tower near me, but ever since I got that message, my coverage has dropped at least one to two bars everywhere I go.
Same here in Northern VA...this in addition to the 3.1 bugs is just maddening...enough to drive me to another carrier. Waiting on some Android phones to be released with VZW...Sprint has the the new HTC hero as well. Might be about the closest thing to an iPhone that won't drop my damn calls.
