you are no more eligible for H1B extension. h1b extension/transfer are doable as long as you are in h1b.

My 140 was approved in 2007 ,but today i got email from USCIS ,
Application Type: I140, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER
Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing
On May 12, 2009, we transferred this case I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER to our LINCOLN, NE location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case by registering in the link below.
Any idea, what would be the possible reason for this? Please advice.
BTW I recently applied for EAD extension.

Like everyone here, my PD is also current. My H1b is expiring in the last-week of Nov this year (2007). If I file for 485/EAD etc. in early July. Do I need to extend my H1b? How long does it take to get the EAD? What if, if I do not receive the EAD before Nov ? Go ahead and file 485/EAD etc. EAD approval takes 2-3 months. To be on the safe side, apply for H1 extension also . it is safe to keep H1 till you get your 485 approval.

Everyone's got his/her own circumstances which are so beyond how much you are making. Just a matter of personal priorities which for me, for instance, were to pay my lawyers bills until the moment my employer stepped in and picked up the tab :) The point is if someone's making 100K/annum and says that he can't spare $20 for IV needs -- he/she got different priorities which are not necessarily wrong.

I did 3 Years Diploma in Computer Science after 10+2(Non Medical) from India and I have about 16 years of experience in IT. I am thinking of using this education to complete my Bachelors here in US. I would like to know what would my education equate to US Education.
I need an Idea how many courses I would have to take to complete the Bachelors? Please share any tips that would help me take less number of courses.It's not easy with kids.

I forget the site the FDIC lists the trouble banks that may fail. You bank should not be in the list. Even if it is in the list and your account is FDIC insured and account has less than 100K then you will get money from FDIC if bank fails.
If FDIC fails than we all in the US are in trouble. It will total collapse of the system. I dont think it will ever happen but who knows.

I am going to apply for a position in Oracle but do not know if it files green card or not. I am reluctant to ask this in the interview.(They may prefer somebody who does not need it) . Also I wonder if there is any wait time for them to file the green card after joining. I posted this because I think some of you might be working for Oracle and might be knowing. this is not normal scenario; even many h1 dependent employers are providing timely paystubs like clockwork.
in visa stampings they do value bank statements with payroll deposit; so in worst case scenario they cud be used to explain ur case.
Also if ur company is mailing stubs to u via postal service, u can record the postal date on the covers and show that regularly ur receiving paystubs in a delayed fashion. The Lawyers are allowed to explain clearly in text during a RFE, they cud attach the bank statements and use this postal mark/actual pay date delays to explain ur situation.

Its a very good point. Immigration related issues are highly political and rouse emotions on either side. Our opponents used those same emotions to get their desirable results - in the form failure to any immigration related bill. Now I think we have a good opportunity to use this fiasco to our benefit.
The lawsuit - whatever its outcome maybe can run its own course. AILF is taking care of that. We as 485 filers and potential filers can simultaneously work on educating lawmakers. To the immigrant friendly lawmakers we can magnify the arrogance of DOS/USCIS in disregarding thousands of immigrants aspirations and revising a bulleting literally at the last "second". We can also project the miscommunication/clashes between the two orgnizations (without that element its impossilbe they would come to the conclusion in mid-june that there will be plenty of visas unavailable to make every one current; and suddenly after two weeks realize that there are none to anyone).
We can even reach out to extreme right (like sof Tancredo) and expose how
