Here's the deal. You need to understand how gas burning really works. You also are not at liberty to speak on what is or is not possible on that trip without actually having driven it - as I have.

I agree that the new design is very bland. I think they know what they are doing. The car companies seem to believe that this type of design will sell the most cars in the U.S. The Hyundai Sonata is a slight break from this mold.
I don't think the new Jetta and Passat are ugly, but the style is most definitely boring.
The new Sonata takes a few cues from the Mercedes Benz CLS. Some might all it a bit fussy but it is at least not boring.

Hey guy's, I have a tangerine iBook G3 Clamshell. Everything is perfect on it except that I need to get a hard drive for it, and I need a faceplate for the CD drive. Here is a link to what that part looks like.

Excellent, the Map app is the weakest link of the default iOS apps. The GPS/navigation aspect of it works okay at best. Can't wait to see what progress they've made!

My last exposure to Notes was 12 yrs ago. We hated it. After 5 yrs, my then company decided to move to Exchange to much hype that it would be a lot better.
It wasn't. I still miss the days of Notes. I've since moved on to two different companies, each of whom have used Exchange. Not once has the Exchange implementation been any better than I remember Notes being more than 7 years previous.
But I will face facts. Notes lost the battle - it is a dead platform for all intents and purposes. As went 1-2-3, so went Notes. It's a shame really because Exchange/Outlook is so terrible, that you'd think anyone with a modicrum of experience could trump it without even trying really hard.
I mean, really, do you need 80% of one of my CPU cores to look up a name in an address book? And how large does the memory footprint of an e-mail app need to be? I often have to shut down Outlook just so compiles will complete in less time. But that will never get better now, because there is no one to push them.
Well said. Maybe its time freeware communities such as OpenOffice make a HUGE push of functionality, portability, efficiency, and ability to work with Active Directory & Such to challenge MS.

Google has become aware of the interest in the word "petabyte." Made me think that Google truly has its finger on the pulse of the world because what is the first thing people do when they hear about something and want more information? They Google it. Seems like, in the way meteorologist predict the weather, based largely on past experiences from which they derive predictions, that Google will soon be able to predict what you are going to enter as your query and instead will simply offer you the answer when you load the Google page instead. And, I'm not even kidding when I think about this to myself.

You don't pay for updates, Tweetie 1 had 7 free updates. Updates within the 2.0 version number will also be free. Same as EVERY piece of software for the desktop.

You're right this isn't the portable media market - those devices are primitive compared to what's being offered here and yet the heavy weights were NEVER able to even dent THAT market. You would think the likes of SONY, HP MOTOROLA, M$SOFT and all the other consumer electronics giants, with all of their resources, could come up with something smart enough to compete with the iPod over the years, right?
We pretty much knew Sony would fail, they're the ultimate balldroppers. They refused mp3 for as long as humanly possible, instead trying to peddle advanced MiniDisc players with USB2, years into the iPod era. Sort of a repeat of the Betamax vs VHS war back in the 80s. When they eventually caved, they introduced some butt ugly, purple, blobby mp3 players nobody wanted. Now with PS3 they're even losing a market they completely dominated, they're getting pummeled by Xbox 360 and the technologically inferior Nintendo Wii. I bet they'll somehow manage to drop the ball with Blu-Ray, too. I never understood Sony, never will.
M$ entered the game way too late with Zune, and with this DRM quirk the Zune is doomed. It's not even out in Europe yet. With iPod, Apple has always made sure that anyone in the world can have it in their hand a few days after the Keynote. Listen closely, Apple is attempting to reinvent the mobile phone by marrying what we traditionally associate with a smartphone (smartERphone actually) under a totally new "human friendly" and intuitive package. Apart from the Cingular exclusive being a dealbreaker for many, plus the fact that unlike the iPod it will only be available in the US for quite some time (here in Europe it's been a long, long time since we last saw a business class phone that doesn't support 3G), how is it going to attract corporate customers? Allegedly it won't even accept 3rd party software, yet businessmen will want to sync it up with MS Exchange/Outlook or Lotus Notes, and they'll probably want to snap in their TomTom or Wayfinder GPS module too. As of now, the gateway for all things iPhone is iTunes, and they're kidding themselves if they think corporate customers will trust a damn music jukebox with their mail, calendar and contacts. And if kids can't cram it chock full of Java games they won't want it either. So the market position really isn't anything like they have with the iPod. Market share is everything. Look at the Palm - say what you will about M$ but PDAs with their mobile OS were superior to Palm in so many ways it's insane, but noooooo, people just had to stay with the Palm, just like they'll stick to their Treo even when iPhone can cook breakfast for them.
