I brought toyota camry from a dealer in NY state last year feb/2010 on (toyota) finance, the dealer only asked me for my driver lience and ssn. he took copy of driver licence and ssn. nothing ask or talk about my immigration status etc, etc...
looking at me my friend (working with me) brought brand new toyota camry same month feb/2010 from PA dealer with 0% apr for 5 yrs. he also shown and given photo copy his driver licence and ssn.
myself and my friend both are on h1b visa.

Well, you have been helpfull. I was afraid this answer would come up. I cannot find a manual even in the shops. Anyway if you were so kind to look for one for me i'd apreciate that so much, because mos of the books about software are written in english, and here, for programs such painter, wich are not really that popular as photoshop is really hard to find something. Maybe if you gave me a title i could buy through internet.
Oh, and i wish i had buy it! A friend of mine told me about it and made a copy for me for testing. (not pretty legal, i know, but if i like the soft i finally buy it. I only need to check it in advance, because my salary is not that big to buy just for checking. Sure you know what i mean :P )

My I-485 is still pending past 180 days and I-140 is approved.

Describe computer programming related activities, which may include managing computer applications, design computer systems, analyse computer design models, etc. etc.

Has anyone successfully filed change of address form? and have their EAD or other documents deliever to their new address correctly. Reason I am asking my friend changed his residence while his 485 pending and all his document would still come to my address (his old address). He made numerous request to USCIS and files for AR11 etc. His all documents EAD.. even Green card also came back to my address(His old adress). At least he was lucky that I was still staying over there.
Any thoughts much appreciated.

Excellent. I am new in this cage..but I am proud to be here. I will definetly donate generously for 4 core for future lobbying. Also I would think..we need 2 avoid anti-immigration media such as CNN etc. I saw WSJ, Business Week, CNBC(Brian William news at 6.30), CNBC Maria, Washington post, New york time and some other local news paper helping us with covergae on this issue. Check with an attorney or the immigration coordinators in the school. F1 is not a dual intent visa, and once if you get F1, there might be some difficulties in getting back to AOS. Since you are in AOS, you should still be able to study in the school. Apply for an EAD and you if get assistance (TA/RA) you should be able to accept as you have a valid EAD. Other members in the forum, should be able to assist as well. Not sure, if there is any other reason to get on to F1 status, though you are in AOS.

Yep..not to worry..just go there on the date of appt..they'll just ask you to come back when the finger heals...I cut my finger...officer made a notation on my form and asked me to come when it heals..I went after a month and got it done

Also do they put a note in their system that you could not give the FP because of so and so reason. Also anyone knows what Boston ASC does , whether they permit walk-ins during the week.

When you guys submit EB2 I140 application form, make sure you put appropriate A# from your EAD card on it. That way your application will go to same folder that your I485 file is in. When time is right USCIS will process all applications together and automatically port EB3 date to your EB2 I140. They should approve I485 and new I140 together, at least that's what has happened in my case.
If you already have second I140 approved, you need to communicate with USCIS with a covering letter with a colored paper and big bold letters on top, explaining the case and related case numbers. Please confirm with attorney.

I am planning on buying a house in 30 days. My company would be paying me about 2500$ rent for renting out a part of my house. This is what made me think that I would actually be able to afford house in NJ.

As long as you dont force yourself into a decision just because your company is picking up the tab for 2500$ for an year does not mean that you have to buy a house that has a commitment of 30 years. Your company can do that for an apartment or rented property as well. Probably it wont be as much as 2500 but you can add up Internet, phone bills and other expenses to get close to the 2500$
How would that work out? Does 2500/month become additional taxable income? My mortgage payments would be about 3500/month. If it becomes a taxable income we would be screwed big time as we would cross all limits to low tax brackets :(

How ever its good to have a letter from your employer saying that your job and your employer required you to have a home office and not at your own will. The reason why I say this is because Home office deduction is one of the audit triggers on a return. Even though you will not declare this on your return, your employer will disclose this as a write off. chances are very less that IRS will ask you, but just in case have that letter from your employer. Read this (http://nixstor.blogspot.com/2008/02/home-office-deduction-eligibility.html) and talk to a good CPA/IRS.
Also I am a july 07 filer with PD sept 2006 and would have few years before I can get GC. So would my chances of getting a mortgage like 450k are less as I am not permanent resident?

I dont think it matters. All that matter is your credit score. Dont tell the lender that you are NOT a permanent resident unless they ask you or the application asks you for. If they figure that you are concerned they will another quarter point
