For I-485 Applicant, it is not of much significance.
At POE, AP is stamped for one year (with I-94), but when it expires, it does not matter. One can continue working on H1 or EAD. And if someone is in USA on H4 (and not working on EAD) also remains in vaild status.

Guys IV has done its job, now to ensure that we get to the finish line FAST, we need to dig into our pockets and not even very deep!

Hello Guys,
I was wondering if any one of you have any estimated time for FP notice from TSC?
My 485 ND is August 27 from TSC (case originally filed at NSC on July 2nd which later got transferred to TSC) but haven't received any FP notice yet. Is TSC slower in issuing FP notice?
Also, I believe that it may depend upon the ASC office situation as well. I am from NJ so may be Newark ASC must be "overbooked" now for FP.
Any ideas? Thanks.

If I marry someone from my home country India and she is working out there as a physiotherapist, can she come here and start practicing immediately or she needs to give some exams and do I need to file her H1 - B in the quota opening in April or is she outside the quota?

I would go with the FAQ released on July 23 (since it is the latest) instead of the Direct Filing update released on June 21.

Also, Q6 says the following:

This sounds like volunteering opportunity to me. May be other senior members on the forum will also throw some light on this scenario.
As far as I know, you can volunteer in any area as long as you do not get paid for those services.

Here is an option to consider: can your employer (who I am assuming is a small desi firm) file your GC though another sister firm (not unusual) in EB2. Assuming that you get it, and retain your PD, you should be able to get your GC within a year if there is no audit in labor / 140. Remember in EB2 the date for Indian is Jan 05 and your PD is before that.
Assuming that you can't keep PD if employer withdraws 140; I would recommed going that route even if you have to find another client.
Also, check with an attorney to find out about PD as you may be able to keep it even if 140 is withdrawn. In that case you can join any company (even your client ) and start GC through EB2.

You are talking about second FP on 485 right. I did not get it. My wife got it. Other thing I noticed is even after she gave her FP no LUD on her 485. I opened SR @ NSC for my FP notice.

Being current means very little. I've been there 3 times over the last few years. 4 years after filing my 485, and 2 RFEs later(each generated during a PD current period BTW) and 3 "currents", I am still waiting. I am on my 5th EAD.
So while optimism is good, with the USCIS don't get too hopeful. Incompetence abounds.

I am currently holding L1 and B1 visa from a company A. Now some company B has applied for my H1 Visa. If I get H1b visa, does both L1 and B1 get cancelled.

My son was on B1 and then on H4. B1 was stamped in 2000 for 10 years. He was with me in US for 4 years and had 1 stamping of H4 in his passport after 2000. He moved to Canada in 2005 but still visits me on B1 which was issued to him before his H4 stamping and B1 was never cancelled. I am not sure about L1..

Anybody with July 19th receipt date got their Check encashed? How about Receipt Notice? EB-3 India.
I am worried about checks not being cashed yet. After Aug 17th the window is closed.
