    ATTENTION: ONLY FOR iOS 3.1X - 4.2

All right, so first off, download iMemory Enhancer from the insanelyi repo. If you don't have it, go to Cydia and then Manage>Sources>Edit>Add>repo.insanelyiph0ne.com.

    After downloaded, respring your iDevice.

Then go swipe your status bar at the top for the SBSettings. If you don't have it, download it from the Search icon on Cydia.

Then when you're on the SBSettings, click "Processes", and then "Free up memory". Then, look at your available more at the bottom of the SBSettings. It should have more than it had before.

    Good luck! ;)

I have a Verizon iPhone, and I had it happen. At midnight last night, my phone rolled back to 11pm. I went in to change it manually, and turning off DST corrected it. I left DST and rebooted my phone, and its worked perfectly since. It stayed at midnight then, and this morning, it has successfully rolled forward.

So yes, there is a bug, but a reboot fixed it for me.

I know what some of the plans are as I met the reps from Apple when they came to visit us.

edit: ...and as mentioned, some of you have no concept about the military at all. It's pretty amusing actually.

    RLTW

Is this a gloating post or are you going to share what you believe to be some of the concepts?

I knew there was a reason to sit the 2011 mbp refresh out.

Why? Soon enough there will be thunderbolt to USB 3 adapters seeing as how thunderbolt has twice the bandwidth of USB 3.0. 2011 MBP owners won't be missing out on anything should they need USB 3.0 down the road.

Doesn't the white iPhone have some sort of plastic lining around the edges? This would explain the added 'thickness'.

May I also suggest you throw your Apple products in the trash and buy the better alternatives you always proclaim there are?

TV is trash anyway. Who has time left to waste watching commercials & shodily slapped together shows?

Have time to kill? Do something constructive on Inkpad or iDraw.
Want some light entertainment on while you do something productive? Netflix
Want something cheap and raunchy? Youpr0n

There is nothing TV does that one of these other things doesn't do better.

I hope the super secret features aren't already in the preview (or at least disabled). If they were active, I'm sure people would be saying "wow that's a cool new feature!" Since I haven't heard any of that, and the secret stuff is active, then I guess Apple's making a mountain out of a molehill.

For years WalMart has moved into many small towns, and undercut everyones prices repeatedly, driving all the Mom & Pop stores out of business. As long as they were hurting someone elses bottom line, they seemed to think that this was competition and very much acceptable.

Now that Apple wants a piece of the pie, its suddenly unfair. Sorry WalMart, either get in the game or find something new that works for you. No sympathy from me. :(

Does anyone know if the new Holiday Justin Long commercials will be advertised? If I remember correctly, the Will Ferrell ones were just online and not on any TV. At least not that I saw.

While I do enjoy debate (not argument) on religion, can we please move it out of this thread? I've created a new one where you can move the discussion to, if you would be so kind:

What I am getting at by this post, is why are Mac people so biggoted against the PC. Another guy made a post somewhere else about how maybe one in fifteen PC users is anti Mac, but more like one in two Mac users is anti PC.

    1/15 PC Users X 95% Market Share = 6.3% of total market.

    1/2 Mac Users X 5% Market Share = 2.5% of total market.

If your assumption of this is right, then...

Conclusion: There are more bigotted PC Users than there are bigotted Mac Users. :D

I think maybe if you're cutting 4 trillion from the budget, every single item would be effected. If we cut defense spending does that mean we want to be attacked?

What are you talking about, 4 trillion? This is an argument over the CURRENT budget (we are half way through this budget year without one). The Tea Party Republicans are holding America hostage over ideology.

EF-S lenses are EF mount lenses that have a smaller element in the rear of the lens that works ONLY on 1.6 crop sensor EF-S Canon cameras. With this design, the glass elements can be smaller and lighter than their EF counterparts, but are only compatible with the 1.6 crop sensor cameras. Design wise, the rear element is placed closer to the sensor than EF lenses.

DO NOT use an EF-S lens on a 1.3 crop sensor (1D series cameras) or on a Full Frame 1.0 sensor (1Ds or 5D series cameras), as the rear element of the lens will interfere with the operation of the reflex mirror and may/ will cause damage to your camera.

To the previous post about focal lengths, the difference in perceived focal length comes into account when you factor in the 1.6 cropped sensor. Since the sensor is physically smaller than a Full Frame or 1.3 crop sensor, it is essentially taking the image from the center portion of the lens.

So, you WILL get different focal lengths from 2 identically marked lenses where one is an EF-S lens and the other is an EF lens.

Tiny discounts like that are why people will buy from places like Amazon since even if the price is identical they save much more on the sales tax.

Funny that Motorola had to add a few more pipelines just to have the G4 catch up to the Pentium 4. Sorry bud, in pure performance, the Pentium 4 2.8GHz and Athlon XP 2.13GHz 2600+ has got it beat. *IF* the G4 was at ~2.x GHz, sure it'd beat the Pentium 4, but the fastest one is 1.25GHz. Dual 1.25 GHz != 2.5GHz in real world so, as pointed by the "benchmarks," Approximately 2.25 GHz G4 (1.25x2) performs just as good as a single Pentium 4 2.8GHz. There are also *A LOT* other things that contribute to performance other than just the stupid pipelines. Memory controller, bus, pretty much anything.

Right now, the G4 simply sucks. We need the G5 or the new IBM PowerPC. G4 isn't living up to its expectations unless Motorola has performed some miracle to boost the G4 to 3GHz overnight. That ain't happening, either. The best G4 Motorola has ever done was the 7410. Those Dual 533MHzs kicked other arses!

On the other hand, for productivity, the Macintosh experience is the simply best and fastest, but as a research computer, I'll take a quad Xeon running FreeBSD 5.0 for the price of a high end Power Mac G4, thank you. Otherwise, if I want to get my **** done, I'll simply buy an iMac 800MHz with the best desktop OS.

I agree that you're taxing the wrong thing. If you tax mileage rather than gas, you're not encouraging higher fuel economy the same way a gas tax would. The ones who burn more fuel should brunt the burden. It's a lot easier to get a more fuel efficient vehicle than it is to make your necessary commute shorter.

But these taxes are historically for funding the construction and upkeep of the highways, not to curb gas usage or to spur efficiency.

A car that gets 60 mpg will do just as much 'damage' to a road surface as a car that get 8 mpg....but the 50mpg car will pay much, MUCH less for upkeep of that road than the other in a gas-tax based situation.
