CIR is impossible with the current Congress, any legislator thinking it is a possibility is only misleading!
"That" legislator also knows it is impossible. He/she is doing it for a poltical stunt so that he/she can go say I did try from my side.
My belief is that this time around they will try a Dream Act - SKIL Bill combo meal to get some votes in Senate/House

We had our FP done on July28th. Raised a SR on Aug-2, got a response on Aug-4th, that case is pending background checks, wait for 6 months before another followup.
I spoke to FBI customer service and they said they sent results on July 28th itself (I specifically asked if the results include background check also)
So as it stands, I have become a sucker this time also.:mad:

I was doing part -time school in a university and before they wanted to admit me,the university procedures included TB test. I showed positive in skin test and negative in X-ray about 4 months ago.
But the school procedures expected me to take TB tablets otherwise they wont let me register for courses. For the last 4 months I am on TB medication, I have it going on until october of this year.
Right now, I am in a dilemma. Since all our PD's our current, we need to get medical examination done. I don't know how my skin test is going to be since I am taking meds.
Should I inform my doctor that I am on medications or should I just hide it?
And should I take a letter from my school health department about how I don't have TB but been given medicines for School purposes? What should I do?
Please advise.

Check with the attorney who has filed for 140. I guess the norm is that attorney also get RN and approval copies.

You must file AC21 letter before your old employer revokes I140. Otherwise, your I485 will be denied. Request your old employer to wait to revoke I140 until you have sent that letter.
I hired a attorney to send the letter. I guess you can do it yourself too. Find a sample letter. Your new employer has to sign it on the company's letterhead. The letter is from the new employer, not from you.

I would like to send AC21 job change info to USCIS my self.
Please let me know if any one is in the same situation and filed (informed) AC21 by yourself.
And also advice if anyone used new attorney only for AC21.

I am just waiting for the processing date of NSC to move one day further for 140 processing(Mine is Feb7 submitted). The moment in moves by a day i will call and let you guys know the outcome.

My Flash Footer uses PNG images made in Photoshop. I don't see any distortion or stretching and it didn't boost my file size up too much.
Illustrator is good, I haven't had much chance to work with that though. Maybe I will get that sooner or later.

Hello gurus,
need little help from you guys. Right now i am on H1b.
I am about to file my Family based I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131. on all these forms they are asking for A# ( Alien Registration Number).
I was on F1 visa before. so i have one expired EAD card which i got during my OPT in 2005. this card has a A#.
so should i put this A# on all forms( I-485,I-130,I-765,I-131) or leave it blank.???

As far as I know, the OPT A# is different from what you will get from filing 140. Once you receive 140 approval notice, it should have the A# which you can use on 485...If you don't have one or don't know, leave it blank...

Not sure if an "independent" consultant on H1B can make more than 250K. Considering he is working 2080 hours in a year. He has to get $120/hour for himself + his employer cut. In 2000, you could have demanded those rates....but, now days I doubt.

If you are independent contractor you can take some allowed expenses. If you are salaried employee you need to show loss for getting some benefit. Generally if you show loss for 3 years continously then IRS mostly deny on third year. In any case if you take too much expense you are inviting audit and that is going to be nightmare. I do not think it is a good idea to start a company just for expenses unless you are going to do business. Atleast you should be doing independent contracting(corp to Corp).
