It's an arbitrary limit imposed by the choice of FAT32 as the file system (which is arbitrarily limited to 32 GB by Microsoft).
I'm pretty sure FAT32 is limited to 4GB files, which is why I had to reformat my external to HFS+ for video editing, since 10GB or larger files are now commonplace. On FAT32, any file larger than 4GB has to be broken up into two files or cannot be written to the file system. I don't know about such limitations on HFS+.
Most professionals use CF cards so they will still need a card reader, especially now that newer cameras don't support Mass Storage anymore for some idiotic reason. You can't connect your camera to your computer via USB anymore, unless you have some retarded application that has a lame interface to download your photos. No more drag and drop, and one more device to carry around, stupid card readers.
Apple supporting SD cards is great but CF cards are still industry standard unfortunately. This will change but not soon.
I would love it if the optical disk became obsolete and something else took over, but there's nothing "permanent" at the moment, so archiving old photos onto an SD card is a waste since the card could be reused. There should be a cheap, read-only version of the SD card, I have no idea how that would be possible, but it would be great.

Okay
So my problem is that I have found this code (C++) that uses both OpenCV and WxWindows. It's not my program but an OpenSource program that i'm trying to write a small plugin for.
But I have no idea how to get Xcode to recognise the headers for these two programs.
I'm pretty sure that I have installed them both correctly, but I still get these issues:
'wx/wx.h' file not found
'cv.h' file not found
'wx/wxprec.h' file not found.
I have not been able to find any help on that is related to Xcode 4, so I'm hoping you can help me.

My job is standing in line
Mall security is getting anal about sitting in front of stores. They came by and measured out from the store opening and if you are in the way they make you move.
On a good note the Nestle toll house cookie store is starting to open.
DP
That cookie stand is going to be taunting you ALL day....at least there is not a Cinnabon store right there, I would have a heart attack before 5pm.

sorry, but I will never put a case on my iPhone. It was made to look sexy as it is, naked.
Cases just ruin it.
I think the iPhone 4 looks great without a case....but it drops calls without the damn bumper!

I think I deleted/edited all the pages and categories you mentioned that you didn't have permission to change.
I moved the Forum Posts category into the Mac Guides category. I don't think it deserves to be listed on the main page since it's more a secondary categorisation of articles and not generally a logical place to look for something.
Some brief comments on the Guides category since I'm not sure everyone fully understands its purpose; it contains 'how to'-type articles as opposed to encyclopaedia-type articles, so it's not just a catch-all. Having said that, it might not be the most logical categorisation structure so I'm not completely against removing it.
The new Mac Hardware/Macs categorisation seems strange. Having the extra step of having to go to the "Macs" category after going to the "Mac Hardware" category seems unnecessary and could make hardware articles hard to find. For example, someone looking for "MacBook" might go to the "Mac Hardware" category and see articles such as "MacBook Upgrade Guide", but would have to read the list of subcategories quite carefully to realise they need to go into the "Macs" category. "Macs" and "Mac Hardware" have much the same meaning so it seems quite confusing.

Have you ever gone to move your finger across the trackpad and find that it registered it as a tap instead? Drives me nuts.
Nope. Never.
Nope. Me neither. I question your sanity, Warbrain. ;)

Agreed, it's the carrier that sets the time, not the device.
I sleep with my AT&T iPhone set to airplane mode so that it won't disturb me in the night - when I woke up this morning, it was still on the old time. (Good thing I wasn't relying on any alarms)
As soon as I switched off airplane mode, allowing it to access the cell network, it correctly jumped forward an hour to daylight savings time.

Is this a joke or what? Are people that work in retail different to the rest of us? Am I missing something here?
Think different. Think about long-term discounts........and relationships (with Apple!)

indeed, we *don't* like being stalked. and i'm speaking from experience here.
i'm afraid you may have to bow out of this endeavour. don't keep turning up to the apple store because she's obviously spotted you hanging around on several occasions and it's making her feel uncomfortable. if you do decide to go to back to the store then at least go to one of the workshops or something, don't just stand there staring longingly at the stockroom door. but i'd really advise leaving it a while.
it started as such a lovely story when i read it, but i don't see a fairytale ending...

For those wondering, you can get a beta key if you preorder the game. You get a key immediately if you preorder in person at Gamestop, and I know that Amazon does it online but it may take a few days for them to email it to you. I went and preordered yesterday and got in on it.
My brand new 13" MBP with the 320m runs things pretty well, though I think the screen is a bit small for an RTS. At times I had problems telling the units apart unless I zoomed in pretty close, but at that point you're not exactly poised for a quick response to anything. Going to try it on my desktop later with a 22" screen.
